Simr, formerly UberCloud, is a Los Altos, California company that automates engineering simulation in the cloud. Its SimOps (Simulation Operations Automation) platform lets design engineers run compute-heavy simulations - CFD, FEA and multi-physics workloads - on any cloud or on-premise hardware with leading tools like Ansys, Siemens and Dassault, without wrestling with the underlying HPC infrastructure. Founded in 2014 by Burak Yenier and Wolfgang Gentzsch, the company raised a $20M Series A in 2024 and counts major manufacturers and tech giants among its users.
SpeakIn Technologies Co.,Ltd.
SpeakIn Technologies is a voiceprint-recognition and identity-security company founded in Silicon Valley in 2015 and headquartered in Shenzhen. Using deep neural networks and its iVector engine, SpeakIn turns the unique physical signature of a human voice into a biometric key, offering both 1:1 verification (is this the right speaker?) and 1:N identification (who is speaking, out of many?). Its SDK and cloud APIs are used across banking, public security, and smart devices, with reported accuracy near 98% and customers including Tencent, Lenovo, ASUS, and China Merchants Bank.
Liran Zvibel
Liran Zvibel is the Co-Founder and CEO of WEKA, a Campbell, California-based AI-native data platform company valued at $1.6 billion. He co-founded WEKA in 2013 after earlier stints at XIV Storage Systems (acquired by IBM) and Fusic, bringing deep expertise in high-performance distributed storage. Under his leadership, WEKA has raised $465M+ in funding, surpassed $100M in annual recurring revenue, and built a platform powering 300+ of the world's largest AI and GPU deployments including 11 of the Fortune 50. A former Israeli military Captain who earned the Israeli Defence Award, Zvibel holds a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.
Aki Fujimura
Aki Fujimura is the founder, Chairman, and CEO of D2S, Inc., a San Jose-based semiconductor technology company he started in 2007. Armed with MIT degrees in EECS and over 100 US patents, Fujimura has spent four decades at the sharp edge of semiconductor design automation - co-founding Tangent Systems (acquired by Cadence), serving as President/COO at Simplex Solutions (acquired by Cadence), and incubating new businesses at Cadence before betting on GPU-accelerated curvilinear mask technology at a time when the industry thought it impractical.
