Ian Rogoff
Ian Rogoff is the CEO and a board member of NevadaNano (Nevada Nanotech Systems), a Sparks, Nevada company building semiconductor-based gas sensors and IoT emissions-monitoring systems used by some of the world's largest industrial operators. A former Microsoft Consulting Services VP turned climate-tech operator and investor, he co-founded Sierra Nevada Partners and chairs New Energy Nexus (the California Clean Energy Fund). Under his leadership NevadaNano raised a $30M Series C in 2023 led by Honeywell Ventures and Emerson Ventures, and its MethaneTrack platform won Best Industrial and IIoT Solution at Sensors Converge 2026.
William Foiles
William Foiles is the co-founder and CEO of Project Canary, a Denver climate-tech company that builds high-fidelity sensors and an enterprise data platform to measure, verify, and report methane emissions across the oil and gas value chain. A CFA charterholder with finance roots at Goldman Sachs and a stack of Stanford degrees, Foiles bet that the fastest way to fight climate change was not protest but precision - measuring the invisible 25% of warming that comes from methane so operators can actually fix it.
Alex Balkanski
Alex Balkanski is the President and CEO of Picarro, a Santa Clara-based company pioneering precision methane and greenhouse gas measurement technology for natural gas utilities worldwide. A Harvard-trained physicist turned serial entrepreneur, he co-founded C-Cube Microsystems in 1988, helped establish the MPEG video compression standard that underpins modern digital television, took C-Cube public in 1994, and orchestrated its acquisition of DiviCom in 1998. After a stint as General Partner at Benchmark Capital, he pivoted to climate tech, joining Picarro in 2013 to apply the same precision-instrument mindset to the urgent challenge of detecting and quantifying fugitive methane emissions across global gas distribution networks.
