Instance
Instance is a San Francisco startup building the autonomous evaluation rig for robot learning. Its first product is a success detector that watches a robot's rollout video, reads the task description, and returns a verdict on whether the task was completed - with a subtask-by-subtask breakdown. Founded in 2026 by MIT classmates and childhood friends Claire Mao and Lucy Cai, Instance is part of Y Combinator's Summer 2026 batch and aims to remove humans from the tedious loop of watching robots, grading them, and resetting the scene.

Black Tiger is a data platform company that helps enterprises turn messy, siloed data into trustworthy business results without lengthy migrations. Its virtual index technology connects directly to existing databases and applications, then applies AI-assisted rules to clean, deduplicate, verify and govern data in real time. Serving customers such as Honda, OVHcloud and Audika across France, Belgium and beyond, Black Tiger pitches fixed-price licensing and 2-to-3-month rollouts as an alternative to slow, usage-priced legacy data platforms.
MeridianLink
MeridianLink is a California-based financial technology company that builds cloud software helping banks, credit unions, and consumer reporting agencies originate loans, open accounts, and verify credit data. Its flagship platform, MeridianLink One, connects consumer lending, mortgage origination, account opening, data verification, and collections into a single system used by roughly 2,000 financial institutions. Founded in 1998, the company went public on the NYSE in 2021 and was taken private by Centerbridge Partners in a roughly $2 billion deal completed in October 2025.
