Daniel Friedman is the CEO and cofounder of Ethermed, a Philadelphia-based health technology company that uses AI and clinical reasoning to automate prior authorization for payers and providers. He founded the company in 2021 with engineer Michal Such after concluding that administrative friction in healthcare was a solvable software problem rather than a permanent cost of doing business. Under his leadership Ethermed raised an $8.5M Series A in 2026 (over $15M total), signed nine health-system customers, and now processes millions of authorizations a year, most of them fully automated in seconds.

Amigo is a New York-based healthcare AI company that builds a platform for designing, training, and deploying patient-facing clinical AI agents. Using a 'digital residency' model, its agents train on millions of simulated patient scenarios before handling real interactions such as intake, triage, care navigation, and 24/7 patient support. Founded by Ali Khokhar and John Xing, Amigo integrates with major EHRs (Epic, Oracle Health, Athenahealth), operates in 100+ languages, and reports more than three million patient encounters with zero safety incidents. It raised an $11M Series A in March 2026 led by Madrona, bringing total funding to $17M.
Fabric
Fabric is a New York-based care enablement company building an AI-powered operating layer that sits on top of hospital and health system technology to automate clinical and administrative work. Its platform spans a Digital Front Door, virtual and in-person care suites, patient engagement, and a 50-state clinical network, all stitched together by a hybrid AI that combines conversational models with clinical logic. Founded by Aniq Rahman, the former Moat president, Fabric grew fast through product plus four acquisitions in 18 months and now reaches more than 75 health systems and roughly 100 million covered lives.
