Belle.ai
Belle.ai (legally BelleTorus Corporation) is a Cambridge, Massachusetts company building AI that reads skin from an ordinary smartphone photo. Its Belle 1K Skin AI engine uses geometric image analysis to surface comparable references across more than 1,600 skin conditions and to produce objective severity scores for immune-mediated diseases like psoriasis, eczema, acne, vitiligo and alopecia. The goal is practical: give general practitioners, estheticians and providers in places with few dermatologists a tool to assess, document and track skin at the point of care. The technology is used across more than 60 countries and 1,000-plus provider sites, and the company has drawn contracts and recognition from ARPA-H and CMS.
Impairment Science, Inc.
Impairment Science, Inc. is a Cambridge, Massachusetts neuroscience company behind DRUID, a smartphone app that measures cognitive and motor impairment from any cause - cannabis, alcohol, fatigue, medication, or illness - in about one to three minutes. Conceived in 2016 by longtime UMass Boston psychology professor Dr. Michael Milburn and incorporated in 2018, DRUID scores a person's reaction time, decision-making, hand-eye coordination, and balance against their own sober baseline. It is the only impairment technology with three published, peer-reviewed studies validating its accuracy, including research led by Johns Hopkins School of Medicine faculty. The company now sells DRUID Enterprise, a cloud portal that lets employers in construction, mining, EMS, and other safety-critical industries run fitness-for-duty checks without a breathalyzer or urine sample.
ISEE
ISEE is an MIT spinout building humanistic, AI-powered self-driving yard trucks that automate the repetitive, dangerous work of moving trailers inside logistics yards and port terminals. Its autonomy system is grounded in cognitive-science ideas like theory of mind, letting trucks reason about intent and handle the unpredictable chaos of a working yard. ISEE claims to be the first company to reach fully autonomous operations in the yard-truck space, with customers including Maersk and Lazer Spot.
Apeiron Labs
Apeiron Labs is a Cambridge, Massachusetts deep-tech company building the Tensor platform - large, low-cost networks of small autonomous underwater vehicles that persistently measure the upper 400 meters of the ocean. By making subsurface ocean data cheap and continuous instead of episodic and expensive, Apeiron sells real-time ocean intelligence as a service to defense, climate, offshore energy, aquaculture, and maritime customers. The company raised a $9.5M Series A in February 2026 and says it has already cut the cost of ocean data roughly 100-fold, with a goal of 1,000-fold.

Suno is a Cambridge, Massachusetts company building generative-AI tools that turn a text prompt into a full song - vocals, instruments, and lyrics - in seconds. Founded by four former Kensho machine-learning engineers who were also musicians, Suno has grown into one of the most-used consumer AI apps, with tens of millions of users generating millions of tracks a day. It rode a string of rapid model releases (v3 through v5) and an in-browser DAW called Suno Studio to roughly $300M in annual recurring revenue and a $5.4B valuation, all while fighting - and beginning to settle - copyright lawsuits from the major record labels.
