Garrett Smith
Garrett Smith is the founder and CEO of Reveal Technology, a Bozeman, Montana defense-tech company that turns drone video into offline 3D maps and runs mobile biometrics on a phone at the tactical edge. A former U.S. Marine Corps infantry and intelligence officer who still serves in the reserves, Smith built the company he wished he had in combat, where he was making high-stakes decisions off pen-and-paper maps in a digital war. Reveal's Farsight and Identifi platforms are used by U.S. Special Operations, the Army, the Marines, and allied forces in Ukraine, the UK, and Israel. In July 2025 the company closed a $30 million Series B led by Ballistic Ventures.
Barmak Meftah
Barmak Meftah is co-founder and general partner of Ballistic Ventures, a cybersecurity-focused venture firm. Previously CEO of AlienVault and president of AT&T Cybersecurity after AT&T acquired AlienVault, he has spent more than two decades building and funding security companies, from Fortify Software's early days to today's wave of AI-era security startups.

Jake Seid is Co-Founder and General Partner at Ballistic Ventures, a cybersecurity-only venture capital firm managing over $700M in assets. A MIT-trained engineer with the school's highest student honor, he helped commercialize broadband at Cisco, launched Lightspeed Venture Partners as a founding team member, ran the 800-person team at Auction.com through its $1.6B acquisition, then backed 12 unicorns solo at Stone Bridge Ventures before co-founding Ballistic to go all-in on securing the digital world.
Ted Schlein
Ted Schlein is Chairman and Founding General Partner of Ballistic Ventures, a cybersecurity-dedicated venture capital firm based in Daly City, California. After nearly 30 years at Kleiner Perkins where he became Silicon Valley's foremost cybersecurity investor, Schlein launched Ballistic in 2021 with a $300 million inaugural fund, followed by a $360 million second fund in 2024 and a $100 million third raise in 2025. A former operator at Symantec and founding CEO of Fortify Software, he sits on the DHS Homeland Security Advisory Council and the CIA's InQTel board, bridging the gap between Silicon Valley capital and national security infrastructure.
