Aakash Mahalingam is the cofounder and CEO of Canary (YC W26), a startup building an AI QA engineer that reads your source code to catch broken user flows before they hit production. Before Canary he built Windsurf's enterprise product and helped push its self-serve plan to roughly $20M ARR in six months. An ICPC APAC finalist with earlier stints at AWS and Morgan Stanley, he now works out of Mountain View on the problem of testing keeping pace with AI-accelerated coding.

Canary is an AI QA engineer that reads your source code to understand developer intent, then automatically generates and runs end-to-end tests on every pull request. Instead of flaky DOM scraping or screenshot analysis, it reads the diff, works out what a change is meant to do, and tests the real user flows it touches - catching broken checkout, auth, and billing before code reaches production. Founded in 2026 by ex-Windsurf, Cognition, and Google engineers, the two-person San Francisco team is part of Y Combinator's Winter 2026 batch.

VoiceOps is a New York-based AI company that turns customer conversations into structured, decision-ready intelligence. Its platform listens to every call, email, SMS, and chat a B2C business handles, then automatically grades quality, flags compliance risks, coaches reps, and surfaces the patterns that separate top performers from everyone else - no manual prompt-writing required. Founded in 2016 out of Y Combinator, VoiceOps started as a coaching tool for call-center sales teams and has grown into a broader conversation-intelligence agent used by companies in lending, healthcare, education, and home services.

Autosana AI is the first agentic QA platform for iOS, Android, and Web. Founded by Yuvan Sundrani and Jason Steinberg in June 2025 and backed by Y Combinator (S25 batch), Autosana replaces brittle test scripts with AI agents that navigate apps like real users, described in plain English. The company raised $3.2M in February 2026 from YC, Pioneer Fund, Phosphor Capital, DeVC, 468 Capital, and angels including Paul Graham. Revenue is growing 100%+ month over month, and the platform now protects apps serving over 100 million daily active users. The name comes from the Latin 'autosana' — to heal oneself — reflecting tests that evolve alongside the product rather than breaking on every UI change.
