MemVerge is a Milpitas, California AI infrastructure software company that started out virtualizing DRAM and persistent memory into pooled 'Big Memory' and has since pivoted toward the AI era. Its Memory Machine products maximize GPU utilization through memory tiering, pooling and transparent checkpointing, and in 2025 it launched MemMachine, an open-source AI memory layer that gives LLMs and agents persistent episodic, profile and procedural memory across sessions, models and clouds. Founded in 2017 by CEO Charles Fan, CTO Yue Li and chairman Shuki Bruck, the company has raised about $43.5M from investors including Intel Capital, Cisco, NetApp, SK hynix and Lightspeed.

humans& is a human-centric frontier AI lab based in the San Francisco Bay Area, founded in September 2025 by researchers and builders from xAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, and Stanford. Rather than building AI to replace people, the company designs models and products around how humans connect, communicate, and work together - investing in long-horizon and multi-agent reinforcement learning, memory, and user understanding. Redis
Redis is the company behind the world's most popular in-memory data store, the open-source database that began as a side project by Salvatore Sanfilippo in 2009 and now sits in the stack of most of the internet's largest applications. It sells managed and self-hosted enterprise versions - Redis Cloud and Redis Software - layered on the open-source core, and has pushed hard into real-time AI use cases like vector search and LLM memory. After a turbulent 2024 licensing fight that spawned the AWS-backed Valkey fork, Redis returned to an open-source license (AGPLv3) with Redis 8 in 2025.
