What It Does

SellAnyCar.com buys used cars. Not a listing site where an owner waits weeks for a stranger to show up, and not a classifieds board where every message might be a scam - the company itself is the buyer. A seller enters a car's make, model, age and mileage into an online tool and gets a free market estimate in seconds. Then they drive to a branch, where an inspector checks the car and takes a short test drive. Within 30 minutes, the seller has a firm, guaranteed offer.

If the offer is accepted, payment goes out by electronic bank transfer and the company takes over the parts sellers dread: title transfer, deregistration, and settling any outstanding bank loan on the vehicle. The car then moves into a live auction where a network of dealers bids on it. The seller never meets the dealers, never haggles, and never handles paperwork.

The pitch is certainty. In a private sale, the questions are endless - what's it worth, who's serious, will the buyer vanish, is the cash real. SellAnyCar.com collapses all of that into one appointment. The valuation is free, the inspection is free, and there is no obligation to accept. A seller can walk away at the end at no cost.

Founded in Dubai in 2013, the company grew a branch network across the United Arab Emirates and later carried the model into Saudi Arabia. It positions itself as the Middle East's first and largest car-buying service - a claim built less on a clever app than on the operational discipline of inspecting, pricing, and paying, over and over, at speed.

How The Sale Works

STEP 01

Value

Enter make, model, age and mileage online for a free instant estimate drawn from millions of prior quotes and sales.

STEP 02

Inspect

Bring the car to a branch. An expert checks its condition and takes a test drive to set the real price - for free.

STEP 03

Offer

Receive a guaranteed offer within 30 minutes. Any make, model, age or condition qualifies after inspection.

STEP 04

Get paid

Accept and get paid by bank transfer. The company handles paperwork, title transfer and loan settlement.

03

Who Uses It

On the selling side: individual car owners in the UAE - and in Saudi Arabia through the company's local brand, Kayishha - who want a fast, safe sale without the friction of a private deal. On the buying side: a network of dealers and businesses that purchase the inspected vehicles at auction.

The company reports having bought and delivered more than 100,000 cars and operating 80-plus branches across some 29 cities in the region. That two-sided base - consumers supplying inventory, dealers absorbing it - is the engine that lets the guarantee work.

04

The Problem

Selling a used car privately in the Gulf is slow and risky. Owners field no-shows, lowball offers, and - as the company has noted from reports of hundreds of scam incidents - outright fraud. Trade-ins bundle the sale price into a new-car negotiation, hiding what the old car is really worth.

SellAnyCar.com's answer is to separate and de-risk the sale: one inspection, one guaranteed price, cash by transfer, paperwork handled. The seller trades a slightly lower headline price for certainty and speed.

The Business Model

The model is straightforward once you see where the money sits. SellAnyCar.com sources cars from consumers (B2C) and sells them to dealers (B2B). Its margin is the spread between what it pays the seller and what dealers pay at auction, plus ancillary services.

The free valuation and free inspection aren't generosity - they're top-of-funnel. They pull inventory in the door. Owning the transaction, rather than just hosting a listing, is what lets the company guarantee an offer at all: it controls both the buy price and the auction that resells the car.

That certainty is the product. A third-party estimate puts annual revenue near $77.7M; the company has not confirmed a figure.

How It's Different

Classifieds sites and marketplaces connect a seller to buyers and then step back. SellAnyCar.com steps in as the buyer. That single design choice - being the counterparty instead of the matchmaker - is what separates it from listing platforms and from the trade-in desk at a dealership.

Against classifieds like dubizzle Motors or YallaMotor, the difference is certainty: no waiting, no strangers, a guaranteed price. Against a dealer trade-in, the difference is transparency: the used car is valued on its own, not folded into a new-car negotiation where the number can be blurred. Against newer instant-buy rivals such as CarSwitch, Cars24 or Kavak, the company leans on being early, on scale, and on a guaranteed-purchase promise that accepts even damaged or written-off cars.

The strategy behind the free, no-obligation model is subtle. In a market where buyers have been burned, giving sellers a clean exit - decline the offer, owe nothing - is itself a trust signal. Certainty, not a marginally higher price, is what the company sells.

The Founder

Saygin Yalcin founded SellAnyCar.com in 2013. Born in Bremen, Germany to Turkish parents, he studied international business management in the United States and once worked in sales and marketing for BMW before moving to the UAE in 2008.

His first venture, the flash-sale shopping club Sukar.com, launched in 2010 and sold to Souq.com in 2011 - the group later acquired by Amazon. He then did the harder thing and started again, this time in automotive.

Fortune named him to its 40 Under 40; Entrepreneur Middle East called SellAnyCar.com the region's fastest-growing company.
