DeltaX makes a big campaign feel local

Four hundred franchises. Fifty thousand sellers. One advertising problem: how do you make a mass campaign speak to each of them? DeltaX builds the machinery behind the variations.

A preschool chain wants more admissions. Simple enough, until you count the branches. In DeltaX’s account of its work with EuroKids International, there were 400 franchises across eight cities. Each needed its own advertising, aimed at nearby families. Each needed the resulting inquiries delivered to the right place. A national campaign could make the name familiar. It could still leave a parent asking the only question that mattered: which school near me?

DeltaX configured 400 personalized ads and connected the campaign to EuroKids’ customer relationship management system. Activation took four days. Over five weeks, the campaign generated more than 3,500 leads and 12 million impressions, according to the company. The interesting number is 400. Someone had turned a collection of local businesses into a repeatable advertising workflow.

The quick read
  • DeltaX connects campaign data, creative production and measurement.
  • Its sweet spot includes agencies and brands managing many locations.
  • Local details become inputs: branch, offer, weather, audience.
  • Automation still needs a useful offer and a meaningful conversion goal.

One idea. Hundreds of versions.

Founded in 2012 by Ravi Kabra and Akshay Surve, DeltaX sells a cloud-based advertising platform. Kabra is CEO; Surve is CTO. The company says more than 1,000 advertisers use its insights, creative and measurement tools. Its market is the working space between a brand’s ambition and the numerous advertising accounts, files and reports required to execute it.

There are three connected parts. Insights gathers media, analytics and CRM data, monitors spending and automates reporting. Creative Solutions builds and deploys variations of images, animated GIFs and video. Measurement follows customer journeys and compares ways of assigning credit for a conversion. The practical appeal is that a campaign’s production and its results can live in the same conversation.

Creative Studio accepts spreadsheet inputs to generate variations in bulk. A marketer can change a store name, language, promotion or location without rebuilding every asset. Deployment workflows cover channels including Google, Facebook, YouTube, DV360 and Amazon Marketing Services. The website also describes review and quality-control steps. Multiplication makes those checks rather important: an incorrect offer can travel just as efficiently as a correct one.

For Tokopedia’s Ramadan 2022 campaign, DeltaX built a microsite where merchants could choose among nine offer types and receive co-branded HD videos featuring Indonesian celebrity Ayu Dewi. More than 50,000 merchants participated, its case study reports. The device was wonderfully practical. Give sellers a bounded set of choices, then automate the production. Personalization becomes manageable when people can specify what varies.

Sometimes the brief comes from the air

Location is only one possible input. DeltaX’s Signal2Ads can trigger creative using external information. For MakeMyTrip, that information was air quality. The travel company ran personalized homestay advertising in 14 northern Indian cities, with messages activated when local Air Quality Index readings entered specified ranges. Facebook and Instagram carried the ads; optimization and reporting tools managed delivery.

DeltaX reports more than 10 million impressions in a month and engagement 23% above conventional campaigns. Those are campaign results, rather than a promise about every weather-based ad. The transferable idea is the connection between an observable condition and a relevant message. Rain, humidity or a cricket match can provide a trigger. Whether the resulting advertisement is useful depends on what the brand has to say.

The lead is only the beginning

Generating responses creates another problem: deciding which responses deserve more money. DeltaX’s Citibank Thailand case describes work with Ecselis Havas Media to expand credit-card acquisition beyond search. CRM and media data were connected to Facebook so campaigns could be judged against lead quality. The account says the strategy was subsequently taken to other Southeast Asian markets.

This is where measurement becomes operational. A form submission, an eligible applicant and a paying customer are different events. DeltaX supports offline imports, CRM integration and multiple conversion goals. Its attribution tools let teams compare models rather than accept a single channel’s account of the customer journey. That comparison can change where the next advertising dollar goes.

“Spend Time Taking Decisions and Not Collating Data”DeltaX’s Insights product proposition

The same logic applies inside agencies. In a May 2024 case study, DeltaX reports that automated dashboards and reports saved Dentsu Kenya’s team 75% of its reporting time on KCB campaigns. The implementation connected channels including DV360, Meta, LinkedIn and Snapchat. Less copying between systems meant more time available to examine what the numbers implied.

The machinery had to grow up, too

DeltaX has published an unusually candid example of its own operational friction. A 2017 engineering post explains how application session data, stored separately inside each app instance, obstructed horizontal scaling. The team moved that state into Redis. It also cached frequently repeated campaign lookups that had been consuming database capacity.

Then another failure appeared: an Azure Function exhausted Redis connections and left the web app unusable. The post describes fixing connection disposal, alongside work on timeouts. This is a historical engineering account, but it reveals something useful about the business. Delivering convenient automation requires care with decidedly inconvenient details.

A platform for the complicated middle

DeltaX’s commercial route runs through product demonstrations and sales conversations. It offers SaaS tools alongside campaign-specific implementations. Native advertising consoles remain an alternative for teams working within one channel; specialized reporting or creative tools address narrower jobs. DeltaX’s pitch is the connection among those jobs, particularly when an agency or distributed brand needs to repeat them across accounts.

That makes its fit conditional. A small campaign with one audience and a few assets may have little variation to automate. A larger one needs reliable location data, approved creative and a conversion definition worth optimizing. The lesson readers can borrow is concrete: identify what stays constant, specify what changes, and connect the response to the business that must act on it. Four hundred versions are useful when each one knows where it belongs.
