FutureClinic
FutureClinic is a Y Combinator-backed platform (Fall 2024) that lets any licensed doctor open a digital clinic and treat patients through chat. An AI 'Chief Resident' takes a patient's medical history through empathetic voice or text, narrows the likely diagnoses, and drafts guideline-based treatment suggestions. The doctor reviews the summary, writes the plan, and signs off with a live-recorded video or audio note the company calls a Human Signature. Patients text their chosen doctor instead of booking appointments; doctors keep the majority of what they charge while FutureClinic handles the EHR, payments, malpractice, licensing, and support.
Vitable Health
Vitable Health is a Philadelphia-based health benefits company that gives hourly and blue-collar workers affordable access to primary care. Founded in 2020 by Joseph Kitonga, it pairs virtual and in-person direct primary care - visits, over 1,000 free prescriptions, common lab tests, mental health support and care navigation - with an integrated ICHRA platform, so small and mid-sized employers can offer real coverage to workers who typically fall between Medicaid eligibility and pricey commercial insurance. Employers pay roughly $30 per employee per month, and the company says it has made more than 100,000 lives eligible for care.
Sana
Sana is an Austin-based health insurtech building modern, tech-enabled health plans for small and medium-sized businesses. By cutting out the administrative bloat of the traditional 'Big 5' insurers and bundling free virtual primary care and care navigation, Sana says it can lower employer-paid premiums by roughly 20-30% while still offering rich benefits. It sells level-funded and group medical plans direct to employers and through brokers, pairing claims transparency with its own Sana Care clinical team.

HealthJoy is a Chicago-based digital health company that turns the tangle of employer-sponsored benefits into a single app. Its AI concierge, JOY, plus a team of human healthcare advocates, guides employees to the right care - from telemedicine and virtual primary care to MSK therapy, behavioral health, prescription savings and medical bill review - while helping employers cut healthcare spend.
