Nuvocargo is a digital-first freight forwarder and licensed U.S. customs broker built to simplify the $40B+ over-the-road freight market between the United States and Mexico. Through a single platform, it combines trucking, customs clearance, cargo insurance, carrier payments and trade finance, and is increasingly layering AI automation across the load lifecycle. Founded in 2019 by Deepak Chhugani, the New York- and Mexico City-based company has raised over $74M and rode the nearshoring wave to serve roughly 500 shippers including Kimberly-Clark, Nestle and Grupo Bimbo.
Desteia
Desteia is an AI-native platform for global trade that turns the messy, unstructured data of logistics - emails, chat messages, PDFs, customs filings - into a single validated source of truth. Using large language models to read documents and graph theory to model shipments as networks of locations and routes, Desteia gives supply chain operators end-to-end visibility across ocean, ground, and air, with particular depth on the roughly $850B U.S.-Mexico cross-border corridor. Founded in 2023 by former Tesla executive Francoise Lavertu Stevens and Stanford engineers Diego Solorzano and Austin Poore, the New York-based company raised an $8M seed round in early 2025.
