Richard Novak
Richard Novak is a bioengineer and entrepreneur who co-founded and leads Unravel Biosciences, a rare disease therapeutics company built on its BioNAV platform that uses RNA network analysis to ask whether a drug will help real patients before working backward to find its target. A former lead engineer at Harvard's Wyss Institute with 15+ years in drug discovery systems, he also founded the swab company Rhinostics during the COVID-19 pandemic and the science-education nonprofit Future Scientist. Novak holds a PhD in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley and a BS in Biology from Emory, and is a 2024 Termeer Fellow.
Han Lim
Han Lim is the Chief Business Officer of DeepCure, a Boston-based company building an end-to-end automated platform for small molecule drug discovery that pairs AI with a virtual library of a quintillion synthesizable compounds, robotic synthesis, and automated assays. A physician-scientist by training, he holds a medical degree from the University of Queensland, a PhD from the University of Cambridge, and did postdoctoral physics research at MIT before spending roughly a decade on the UC Berkeley faculty running a lab in systems biology and bioengineering. He helped build the first generation of AI drug discovery companies as Chief Business Officer at Atomwise, where he launched the internal pipeline, raised $168M across two rounds, and signed partners including Eli Lilly and Charles River Laboratories. He now leads business development, portfolio planning, and corporate strategy at DeepCure.
Andrew Quong
Andrew Quong is President and CEO of InterVenn Biosciences, a South San Francisco-based precision diagnostics company unlocking the human glycoproteome through AI-powered platforms. With a PhD in Physics and over 30 years spanning national laboratories, academia, and biotech, Quong bridges the physical and computational sciences with clinical medicine. He led InterVenn's development of GlycoKnow Ovarian, a non-invasive blood-based liquid biopsy test for distinguishing ovarian cancer from benign masses, and has steered the company through key commercialization milestones including a $201M Series C raise in 2021.
Richard Yu
Richard Yu is the Co-founder and CEO of Abalone Bio, an Emeryville, California-based biotechnology company pioneering AI-guided antibody drug discovery for notoriously hard-to-drug targets. With a PhD in Molecular Biophysics from Yale and a background spanning structural biology, systems biology, and biotech entrepreneurship, Richard built Abalone Bio's FAST platform - a high-throughput yeast cell screening system capable of evaluating 100 million antibody variants simultaneously. The company has secured partnerships with Pfizer and Mount Sinai, generated $7M in non-dilutive NIH grants, and published the world's first CB2 antibody agonist data, while positioning AI and large-scale functional datasets at the core of next-generation antibody therapeutics.
Reid Williams
Reid Williams is a venture partner at IDEO CoLab Ventures and co-founder of WE3, a Web3 design collective. With a PhD in biophysics from UCSF (from Wendell Lim's renowned lab) and bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and electrical engineering from MIT, he bridges science, engineering, and product design. Previously, he led the AI portfolio at IDEO CoLab, headed design and product engineering at Kindred, and served as head of product at Computable Labs. He also mentors early-stage biotech founders at IndieBio.
