Ripcord
Ripcord is a Hayward, California company that uses robots, machine learning, and generative AI to digitize the world's paper. Founded in 2015 out of NASA research, it built robots that scan documents - pulling staples and turning records into searchable, structured data through its cloud platform. Today it positions itself as a Document Intelligence as a Service (DIaaS) company, ingesting, classifying, and extracting data from both physical and digital records for clients across financial services, energy, government, insurance, and more.
Sam Fahmy
Sam Fahmy is the President and CEO of Ripcord, the Hayward-based robotic digitization company turning paper archives into searchable, structured data. A physics major turned enterprise-software operator, he previously helped take Cvent from $2M to $400M+ in revenue and led commercial strategy at WorkFusion before taking the top job at Ripcord in February 2022.
