Molecule Software
Molecule is a Houston-based software company that builds cloud-native energy trading and risk management (ETRM) and commodity trading and risk management (CTRM) software. Founded in 2012 by Sameer Soleja, Molecule replaces slow, on-premise legacy systems with a modern SaaS platform that captures trades, calculates real-time position and P&L, and handles risk analytics across 50+ commodities. Its add-on modules - Elektra for power markets, Hive for renewable certificates, Djinn for crypto, and Bigbang for data-lake analytics - let energy traders, utilities, hedge funds and commodity firms manage multi-asset portfolios in one place. The company has captured more than five million trades and raised a Series B round led by Sundance Growth in July 2025.
