NousQ is a Singapore-based medical technology company founded in 2021 by ENT surgeon Dr Lynne Lim and engineer Gan Chee Wee. Its flagship product, CLiKX, is a handheld, robotic and sensor-controlled applicator that performs ventilation ear tube insertion with a single click. David Carey is the Chief Executive Officer of Preceptis Medical, the Golden Valley, Minnesota company behind the Hummingbird Tympanostomy Tube System, an FDA-cleared device that lets clinicians place pediatric ear tubes in the office without general anesthesia. Appointed CEO in July 2025, Carey brings three decades of commercial leadership across the medical device industry, including senior roles at Pristine Surgical, Stryker, Medtronic, and Invuity, where he helped guide the company through an IPO before its acquisition by Stryker. At Preceptis, he is focused on scaling the Hummingbird device to more surgeons and families nationwide.

Preceptis Medical is a Golden Valley, Minnesota medtech company that makes the Hummingbird Tympanostomy Tube System (TTS), an FDA-cleared handheld device that lets ENT surgeons place pediatric ear tubes in the office in about five minutes using only a topical anesthetic - no operating room and no general anesthesia. By combining the multiple tools of a traditional tube procedure into a single-pass instrument, Preceptis aims to make a very common childhood surgery safer, faster, and dramatically less expensive for families and payers.
