WakeCap
WakeCap is a construction-technology company that puts a small IoT sensor into standard safety helmets to give project owners live, site-wide visibility into workforce, safety, productivity and progress. Founded in 2017 by Dr. Hassan Albalawi and Ishita Sood, the company runs a wireless mesh network that works without GPS, cellular or Wi-Fi and feeds field data into a single owner's dashboard. Its technology has been deployed across roughly $80 billion of active projects - including Aramco, NEOM, Qiddiya and King Salman Park - and has tracked more than 150 million labor hours. WakeCap raised a $28M Series A in 2025 and operates from Riyadh, Dubai and San Francisco.
Haltian
Haltian is a Finnish IoT company from Oulu that turns physical spaces into smart, sustainable environments. Founded in 2012 by former Nokia product engineers, it pairs its Thingsee wireless sensor hardware with the Empathic Building digital twin software to help offices, hospitals, warehouses and logistics sites measure occupancy, air quality and asset location - and act on the data. Having earned early fame designing the Oura smart ring, Haltian now runs one of Europe's largest IoT deployments and serves roughly 400 customers across 36 countries.
Nick Weaver
Nick Weaver is the co-founder and CEO of eero, the company that reimagined home Wi-Fi with the world's first whole-home mesh networking system. A Stanford-trained engineer turned McKinsey consultant turned venture capitalist, Weaver quit Menlo Ventures in 2014 to fix the router - a problem he'd been wrestling with since he was a kid setting up networks for neighbors in Chicago. He sold $2.5 million of product in two weeks, landed in 600 Best Buy stores within two years, and delivered eero to Amazon in a $97 million acquisition in 2019. He now leads eero as VP of Devices & Services under Amazon, where the mission is unchanged: make the technology in homes just work.
