Seurat Technologies
Seurat Technologies is a Massachusetts-based contract metal manufacturer built around Area Printing, a laser powder bed fusion process invented at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Instead of melting metal powder one point at a time, Seurat uses millions of tiny laser points to print entire areas at once, decoupling resolution from speed. The company doesn't sell printers; it runs its own clean-energy print factories and sells finished parts at costs meant to rival casting, forging, and machining, with the goal of reshoring high-volume metal manufacturing and cutting its carbon footprint.
Joshuah Stolaroff
Joshuah Stolaroff is the co-founder and CEO of Mote, a Los Angeles clean energy company turning woody waste into renewable hydrogen while permanently burying the carbon. A Carnegie Mellon-trained engineer who built one of the first working prototypes for pulling CO2 straight out of the air, he spent eleven years running the carbon capture program at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory before co-authoring 'Getting to Neutral,' the report that launched the Biomass Carbon Removal and Storage (BiCRS) approach now at the heart of Mote. His aim is blunt: reduce and remove a billion tons of carbon by 2035.
Olgica Bakajin
Olgica Bakajin is the CEO and Founder of Porifera Inc., a San Leandro, California-based company pioneering forward osmosis membrane technology for the food, beverage, and industrial water sectors. A physicist by training - B.A. from the University of Chicago and Ph.D. from Princeton - she spent nearly a decade at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory developing carbon nanotube membranes that move water 1,000x faster than conventional materials. Her 2006 Science paper on carbon nanotube desalination became the most-cited chemistry article in the journal. In 2009 she spun Porifera out of LLNL, and the company now serves 100+ customers across 20+ countries, helping breweries, coffee roasters, and winemakers concentrate their products without heat, preserving flavor, aroma, and nutrients while slashing energy use by up to 80%.
