M2X Energy builds modular, trailer-mounted gas-to-liquids systems that convert wasted methane - the gas flared at oil wells, landfills, and digesters - into low-carbon methanol. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Rockledge, Florida, the company replaces giant fixed chemical plants with mass-manufactured 'chemical plants on wheels' that drive up to a stranded gas source, connect, and run. After proving the model on flare gas at a Chord Energy well in the Bakken, M2X raised a $40M Series B in 2024 to build its first commercial fleet.
