After helping Coinbase engineers build faster, David Maulick is betting that the next software problem begins before anyone writes code: getting humans and agents to agree on what should be built.
Scott AI is a New York-based Y Combinator (Fall 2025) startup building a planning workspace where engineering teams align on what to build before their coding agents start writing code. Scott runs multiple coding agents in parallel, has them explore different design paths, and surfaces their disagreements so teams can compare tradeoffs and settle on the best spec before handing execution to tools like Claude or Cursor. Founded by ex-Coinbase engineer David Maulick and ex-Comun engineer Devin Cintron, it positions itself as a neutral, agent-agnostic decision layer for multi-agent software development.
