Lago
Lago is an open-source billing and metering platform that lets companies build usage-based, subscription, and hybrid pricing models without building a homegrown billing stack from scratch. Founded in 2021 by two early Qonto employees, it offers a free, self-hostable core plus managed cloud tiers, and is used by companies such as Mistral AI, PayPal, Groq and Synthesia to meter events and issue invoices at scale.
Paid
Paid is a monetization platform for AI agents. Instead of charging by the seat or the API call, it lets agent builders price by the outcome an agent delivers - points of margin saved, tasks completed, revenue generated - then tracks the underlying costs and margins in real time and hands the customer a receipt proving the value. Founded by Outreach creator Manny Medina and a team that previously built billing at Salesforce, Palantir and Pleo, Paid raised $33.3M across a 2025 pre-seed and seed and is building the plumbing for how software gets paid when the software is an autonomous worker.
Alvaro Morales
Alvaro Morales is the co-founder and CEO of Orb, the flexible billing engine behind companies like Vercel, Perplexity and Replit. Raised in Lima, Peru and trained as a computer scientist at MIT, he built products at Yahoo, Palantir and spent five years as an engineering leader at Asana, where he watched pricing changes that should have taken minutes drag on for months. In 2021 he and CTO Kshitij Grover founded Orb to let companies ship pricing as fast as they ship product. In June 2026, payments giant Adyen agreed to acquire Orb for $335 million.
