Careismatic Brands is a Los Angeles-based designer, manufacturer and distributor of medical apparel, footwear and accessories for the healthcare community. Founded in 1995 as Strategic Partners, Inc. with the flagship Cherokee Uniforms line, it has grown into a global leader whose portfolio - Cherokee, Dickies Medical, Med Couture, Healing Hands, Medelita, Infinity, Heartsoul, Scrubstar, Allheart, Silverts and more - serves healthcare professionals in more than 70 countries. The company estimates it accounts for roughly half of the U.S. medical apparel wholesale market. After a pandemic-driven revenue surge and subsequent debt load, Careismatic completed a Chapter 11 financial restructuring in June 2024, eliminating about $782 million in debt and emerging under new ownership led by Nexus Capital Management.
