Chipiron is a Paris-based medical-imaging startup building a compact, low-cost MRI scanner that runs at an ultra-low magnetic field (below ~30 millitesla, roughly 1,000x weaker than a hospital MRI). Its patented low-Tc SQUID quantum detection system plus AI noise cancellation and reconstruction are designed to recover clinical-grade image quality without a shielded room, without helium, and at a fraction of the cost, size, and infrastructure of conventional machines. The company's stated aim is to make MRI accessible everywhere, starting with breast imaging, and eventually reach patients, clinics, and remote settings that today's scanners can't serve.
Vitable Health
Vitable Health is a Philadelphia-based health benefits company that gives hourly and blue-collar workers affordable access to primary care. Founded in 2020 by Joseph Kitonga, it pairs virtual and in-person direct primary care - visits, over 1,000 free prescriptions, common lab tests, mental health support and care navigation - with an integrated ICHRA platform, so small and mid-sized employers can offer real coverage to workers who typically fall between Medicaid eligibility and pricey commercial insurance. Employers pay roughly $30 per employee per month, and the company says it has made more than 100,000 lives eligible for care.
River Health
River Health is a Minneapolis digital health company building the first health plan designed specifically for hourly and mixed workforces - the roughly 75 million American workers who earn too much for Medicaid but can't afford traditional insurance. For a flat monthly fee with no copays, deductibles, or hidden charges, members get virtual and in-person primary care, behavioral health, labs, and prescriptions delivered to their door. River sells directly to employers like Taco Bell and Raising Cane's who want to offer real benefits to workers the insurance industry has long ignored.
