What it does

An AI that listens, so leaders don't lose people

Most companies learn an employee is unhappy the day the resignation lands. inFeedo AI was built to move that discovery months earlier. Its flagship product, Amber, is a conversational AI that checks in with employees across their entire lifecycle - onboarding, milestones, dips in mood, exit - and turns those conversations into signal that HR leaders can actually act on.

Founded in India in 2013 by Tanmaya Jain and Varun Puri, inFeedo started from a stubborn observation: the annual engagement survey is a photograph of a moving crowd. By the time results are tabulated, the sentiment has shifted and the person who was quietly checking out has already gone. inFeedo's answer was not another dashboard, but a character - an AI colleague employees would actually talk to.

Amber, launched in 2016, is deployed at scale as what the company calls a "Chief Listening Officer." She reaches out to employees, remembers context from previous chats, and reads sentiment in real time. Crucially, she is neutral: people tell an AI things they would never write on a form that routes to their manager. That candor is the product.

From those conversations, inFeedo surfaces hidden gaps in culture, manager-employee relationships and wellbeing, and flags the "silent middle" - competent people who never raise their hand until they leave. The platform predicts attrition, burnout and disengagement among top talent, then routes the insight up to the people who can do something about it, sometimes the CEO directly.

Over time the company has grown Amber from a listening tool into a broader agentic-AI platform, adding automation for HR support and tools for targeted employee communication. The through-line has stayed the same: reduce the distance between how employees feel and what leaders know.

The problem it solves

Attrition is expensive. Silence is the warning.

Losing a high performer costs far more than a survey licence. inFeedo's pitch to CHROs is blunt: catch disengagement early and you keep the people you cannot afford to replace. The company reports that customers using Amber retain roughly 85% of their top talent and see up to 33X quantifiable ROI - while HR business partners save around 2.5 days a week that would otherwise go to manual check-ins and follow-ups.

"Amber is deployed at scale as the Chief Listening Officer - and reports directly to the CEO."

Business model & market

B2B SaaS, sold on outcomes

inFeedo runs a B2B enterprise SaaS model - annual subscriptions to Amber and its analytics and automation suite, sold to CHROs and HR leaders at mid-to-large organizations. Pricing scales with the workforce, and the sales conversation is anchored on measurable outcomes rather than features: attrition reduced, top talent retained, HRBP hours returned.

It competes in a crowded employee-voice and people-analytics market that includes Culture Amp, Workday's Peakon, Microsoft/LinkedIn's Glint, Qualtrics EmployeeXM and HR-automation players like Leena AI. inFeedo's differentiator is the conversational, character-driven approach - Amber as a named colleague employees talk to, backed by continuous listening in 100+ languages - rather than a periodic survey with a reporting layer bolted on.

"Continuous listening beats the annual survey - because sentiment moves faster than a reporting cycle."

Expertise & character

The details that stick

inFeedo's expertise sits at the intersection of conversational AI, people science and enterprise HR. The company is unusual in that it uses its own product internally - it listens to itself with Amber, and is known for a "people-winning culture" built on continuous feedback and transparency.

There's also a founder story worth telling. Tanmaya Jain's path to building a global HR-tech company included a pitch on India's Shark Tank before landing at Y Combinator - a reminder that a "no" in one room is often a rehearsal for the next.

And Amber has a personality by design. She is referred to as "she," greeted by name by employees, and built to remember your last conversation before starting the next. Continuity builds trust; trust produces the honest signal that makes the whole model work.

The company is roughly 150 people, remote-friendly, and estimated at around $16M in annual revenue - modest numbers for a product deployed across some of the largest employers in the world.
