The equity management platform where cap tables, ESOPs, valuations, liquidity and fund administration live in one system - from seed to IPO.
THE MARK — Qapita's hexagonal "Q" icon, the badge now stamped on cap tables for 2,400+ private companies and roughly half of India's unicorns.
The Story
Most employees have no idea what their stock options are actually worth. Most founders track ownership in a spreadsheet that breaks the moment a new round closes. Qapita was built for exactly that gap - the messy, high-stakes back office of private capital.
Founded in Singapore in 2019 by a trio who had known each other for roughly two decades - a banker, an investor and a technologist - Qapita set out to digitize private capital markets. The insight was unglamorous but expensive: private-company equity was managed with spreadsheets, PDFs and annual scrambles, while the value at stake ran into the billions.
Today the platform records capitalization tables, manages employee stock ownership plans, runs valuations, executes liquidity events and administers funds. It manages more than $55 billion in equity for over 500,000 stakeholders across 2,400+ private companies and 100+ listed companies. Roughly 70% of its customers are in India and 20% in Southeast Asia, with a US presence now taking shape.
The company describes its job plainly: let companies "manage cap tables, fundraising, share issuance, equity awards, valuations and liquidity globally in one unified platform." The unglamorous part is the point - reconciliation, compliance and disclosure are the work nobody enjoys and everybody needs.
Qapita is a G2 Global Leader in equity management software, and it counts around half of India's unicorns among its customers. For a six-year-old company operating in a category defined by trust, that adoption is the headline metric.
"Qapita enables companies to manage cap tables, fundraising, share issuance, equity awards, valuations and liquidity globally in one unified platform."

The Edge
The problem it solves. Private equity ownership is opaque, error-prone and scattered across tools. A single missed vesting date or stale cap table can derail a fundraise, an audit or an acquisition. Qapita replaces the spreadsheet-and-PDF workflow with one live ledger that founders, employees, auditors and investors can all trust.
How it's different. Where many competitors start with cap tables and bolt on the rest, Qapita is unusually deep on ESOPs - offering digital management, advisory and liquidity as a full stack. It pairs software with services (valuations, corporate secretarial, fund admin), which fits markets like India and Southeast Asia where regulatory nuance is heavy.
Expertise, acquired. Rather than build every capability from scratch, Qapita bought the specialists - ESOP Direct, Unlistedkart and Punch Financial - folding decades of ESOP, unlisted-share and finance expertise into the platform.
Where it fits. Qapita sits alongside global names like Carta and Pulley, but owns a distinctive position: the equity operating system for South and Southeast Asian companies scaling toward global listings - now extending into the US through a partnership rather than a land grab.
