The Story

A signature you can't see, a fake can't copy

Most anti-counterfeit technology asks a brand to add something: a hologram, a QR code, a tamper seal, a new label line. Ennoventure asked a quieter question. What if the security was already inside the ink?

Ennoventure, Inc. is a deep-tech brand protection company that embeds invisible, cryptographic signatures directly into a product's existing packaging artwork. The signature prints on the same press a factory already owns - no new materials, no new hardware, no redesign. A shopper, an inspector, or a distributor points an ordinary smartphone camera at the pack and, in about a second, learns whether the product is genuine.

The idea began with a hard fact. While at MIT, co-founder Padmakumar Nair learned that counterfeit anti-malarial drugs were killing children who could otherwise have been cured. He brought the problem to a former classmate, Shalini Nair, who was running her own venture. Together they founded Ennoventure in 2018 and filed the first patents within months, building a way to make authenticity something a phone could confirm anywhere in the world.

"Turn every product into intelligent proof of authenticity."
How It Works

From artwork to answer in one second

1

Embed

An invisible cryptographic signature is generated and woven into existing packaging artwork.

2

Print

It prints with standard equipment - no new labels, inks, materials, or machines.

3

Scan

Anyone points a smartphone camera at the pack. No special app hardware required.

4

Verify

AI confirms authenticity in about one second and logs the check for brand intelligence.

The AI models behind it are trained on roughly 20TB of manufacturing data, and the company holds granted patents on the invisible encrypted signature. Because counterfeiters can't see the signature, they can't reproduce it.

The Problem & The Customers

Fighting a trillion-dollar, invisible market

Counterfeiting drains trust, revenue, and - in pharma - safety. It thrives precisely because fakes are hard to spot on a shelf and harder to trace across a supply chain. Ennoventure's answer is to fight invisibility with invisibility: a hidden signal that turns any package into a self-verifying document.

Its customers are global brand owners and manufacturers. Publicly referenced names include Nestle, Unilever, CNH and Denso, spanning pharmaceuticals, FMCG, automotive and aftermarket parts, specialty chemicals, consumer electronics and luxury goods. The company says its technology has reached more than 100 million people and authenticates billions of product units. Beyond catching fakes, the same scan powers grey-market and diversion detection, marketplace monitoring for counterfeit listings, regulatory compliance, and consumer engagement such as e-leaflets and loyalty.

Clients see an 83% average reduction in counterfeiting within six months, according to the company.

Where It Fits

Different by design: no new hardware

The brand-protection field runs from physical holograms and tamper seals to QR/2D-barcode serialization and other digital players such as Systech, Scantrust and Authentic Vision. Ennoventure's distinction is friction: because the signature lives inside existing artwork and needs no added label or device, a factory can adopt it without changing a single machine. That lowers the cost per unit toward zero and makes very high-volume deployments practical.

Its business model reflects that. Ennoventure sells a B2B SaaS platform, typically priced by volume of authenticated units and analytics subscriptions, rather than per-piece hardware. The expertise underneath - AI ensembles plus cryptography, backed by granted patents and a distributed team across the US, UAE and India - is what lets an invisible mark stay both unforgeable and instantly readable.
