# UpdateAI

> UpdateAI, founded around 2020 by Josh Schachter, built a conversational-intelligence tool that turned recorded customer calls into follow-ups, notes and voice-of-customer trends for post-sales teams. After a $2.3M seed backed by Idealab's Bill Gross, it became a go-to meeting assistant for customer success managers. In July 2025 Gainsight acquired it - the fourth of four deals in four months - folding the team and its [Un]Churned podcast into Atlas, Gainsight's new line of agentic AI agents, with Schachter joining as SVP & GM of Atlas.
