> Jointer set out to make commercial real estate investable in small, liquid pieces. After concluding that tokenizing one building at a time merely digitized the old syndication model, founder Yoda (Jude) Regev recast the company as a pooled DeFi economy: a daily auction sold JNTR, 90% of auction proceeds were designated for property investments, 10% for a liquidity reserve, and smart contracts handled incentives, transfers and redemptions. The mechanism was inventive and expensive to explain. Jointer reported $12.5 million in seed and Series A funding, launched its auction in 2020 and later promoted a metaverse-backed decentralized REIT, but its public product trail has been sparse since 2021-2023 and current trackers show little or no active JNTR market data.
