# Convoy

> Convoy was a Seattle digital freight brokerage founded in 2015 by Dan Lewis and Grant Goodale. It used automated pricing, matching and a carrier app to connect shippers with trucking companies. Its brokerage closed in October 2023; Flexport acquired the technology assets and relaunched a marketplace for brokers and carriers. DAT acquired that platform in July 2025. The current Convoy Platform is technology infrastructure, without brokerage authority.
