# BeeX

> BeeX is a Singapore deeptech company that designs, builds and operates fully autonomous, tether-free underwater drones for subsea inspection across defense, offshore energy and coastal infrastructure. Spun out of the National University of Singapore in 2018, it commercialises more than a decade of research into Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (HAUVs), pairing purpose-built hardware with an AI autonomy stack and an Autonomous Robotics-as-a-Service model that inspects underwater assets without the large crews and specialised vessels traditional work-class ROVs require.
